About
Mme Alysha
Mme Alysha has been in Whitehorse for over 30 years. She attended Whitehorse Elementary School in the French Immersion program and then went to F.H. Collins Secondary. Music and the Arts have been a big part of her life since a young age. She danced at Leaping Feats for three years from the ages of 12-14. She started playing the flute in grade 8 and became highly involved in the All City Band throughout all of high school and beyond. She also did the M.A.D. (Music Arts and Drama) program in grades 9 and 10 where she had the opportunity to perform in many shows. Once she started university, she sang in her university's Concert Choir as an Alto singer.
Mme Alysha started teaching in 2020 after finishing the YNTEP After-Degree Education Program at Yukon University (University of Regina). She taught for one year at Elijah Smith Elementary before moving over to Selkirk in 2021 to teach French Immersion.

Mme Alysha really looks forward to bringing her love for all things music, as well as her knowledge of French, to the Selkirk Coyotes Music Program!
